Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Storeroom Crib Attendant to support daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counts at a customer site. You will keep a professional, clean and organized workspace and ensure accurate records.

This role requires a high school diploma and warehouse experience; forklift experience is a plus. Candidates should be safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• Loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; MS-Office and inventory software familiarity preferred.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills; ability to compute rates and percentages.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks and goals.
• Demonstration of attention to detail and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; checks for damage and discrepancies.
• Accurately sorts, labels, moves and stores items; arranges storage to optimize crib space.
• Issues product to site employees; documents and maintains records for issued and returned items.
• Enters data into a database to maintain up-to-date stock records and answers inquiries.
• Requests requisitions to replenish inventory.
• Assists with inventory level maintenance; performs cycle counts and reports results.
• Inspects tools/equipment for defects and reports wear to supervisors.
• Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations.
• May repair, service and lubricate tools and equipment as required.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
