Job summary

USG is seeking a proactive Storeroom Clerk to oversee daily storeroom operations at the plant, ensuring safe, efficient inventory control and accurate recordkeeping in Oracle and EAM. You will procure parts, coordinate deliveries, and train staff on RPM storeroom processes.

The role emphasizes reliable, independent work, strong communication with maintenance teams, and adherence to plant policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Clear communication with PMCs and maintenance personnel.
• General administrative skills, including basic computer aptitude (Word, Excel, EAM).
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to meet deadlines.
• Forklift operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of the plant storeroom to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Follow and support all plant policies, practices and safety rules.
• Procurement of parts and supplies to maintain storeroom inventory.
• Execute daily tasks: inventory cycle counts, WOs, inventory database management, storeroom management, parts picking/delivery, and training others on storeroom aspects of RPM.
• Receive shipments, unload, verify against packing receipts, check damage, accept/reject shipments.
• Maintain accurate records in Oracle and EAM.
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel and vendors.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Daily oversight of the plant storeroom functions to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Know, follow, and support all plant policies, practices, and safety rules.
• Procurement of parts and other supplies needed to maintain an optimum storeroom inventory.
• Fulfill daily tasks including inventory cycle counts, work request submission, inventory database management, storeroom management, picking/delivering parts from work orders, parts ordering, and maintaining EAM vendor listings, and training of plant associates on Storeroom aspects of RPM.
• Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, open boxes, crates, shipping containers, move items into and around warehouse and/or storeroom, verify orders placed against packing receipts, check for damage, accept or reject complete or partial shipments.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping in Oracle and EAM.
• Maintain effective communication with plant personnel and vendors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience within the plant maintenance function is strongly preferred.
• Must have a communication style that allows for effective communication with PMCs and maintenance personnel.
• Must possess general administrative skills., including basic computer aptitude (Word, Excel, EAM).
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and possess a proven ability to work independently.
• Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and discipline in performing administrative duties to ensure deadlines are met or exceeded.
• Become certified forklift operator.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
