Job summary

USG in Jacksonville is seeking a forklift operator for our plant warehouse. You will adhere to safety and housekeeping rules, use a forklift to load and unload finished goods and raw materials, and interpret orders to pull, stage, load, and verify shipments.

You will record shipping data, perform basic maintenance checks on equipment, participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, and adapt to shift work, overtime, weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
• Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
• Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
• Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
• Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
