Job summary

Frostburg State University is seeking a Storekeeper II for the FSU Physical Plant to manage storeroom inventory, receive, store and distribute supplies, and provide guidance to support staff across campus. This full-time contractual, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of related work experience, plus a valid Maryland non-commercial Class C or commercial Class B license.

Forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of related work experience.
• Valid Maryland non-commercial Class C or commercial Class B or equivalent driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; follow directions; provide guidance and instruction; operate computers and other standard office equipment; establish and maintain effective work relationships; perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; lift, transport and stock supplies and materials; wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute supplies, materials, and equipment; maintain storeroom inventory; provide guidance and training to support staff.
• Receive and inspect shipments to ensure compliance with delivery docs and PO specs; process receiving records; identify inventory via tagging, labeling, etching, or marking methods.
• Route and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment to designated locations across campus; perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description: Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for a full-time contractual, non-exempt Storekeeper II position. Salary range 6 and includes the University of Maryland contractual benefits package which includes paid leave, holidays, and sick leave; contractual employee health benefits and tuition remission benefits; and supplemental retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, materials, and equipment; maintaining storeroom inventory; and providing guidance and training to support staff.
• Duties include receiving and inspecting shipments to ensure compliance with delivery documentation and purchase order specifications, processing receiving records, and accurately identifying inventory through tagging, labeling, etching, or other marking methods.
• The position also routes and delivers supplies, materials, and equipment to designated locations across campus and performs other related duties as assigned.

• Valid Maryland non-commercial Class C or commercial Class B or equivalent driver's license.

• Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
