Job summary

85°C Bakery Cafe is seeking an Entry-level Storefront Associate in the Bellaire/Houston area to deliver friendly service and assist with product selection, POS operation, and beverage preparation. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and consistency in a fast-paced retail environment.

This position requires at least a high school diploma, weekend availability, and the ability to work 20+ hours per week. Training is provided to support growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to speak and understand conversational English.
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday availability is strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification (where required).

Responsibilities

• Delivering friendly, fast, and memorable customer service.
• Greeting guests and assisting with product selection.
• Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Preparing coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Assisting with bread merchandising and product presentation.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.

• Following all company policies and Health Department regulations.
• Cross-training in multiple areas, including cashier, bar, bread, and cake.
• Arriving on time and ready to work each scheduled shift.
