Job summary

ShopRite of Burlington in Burlington, NJ is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and maintain a safe shopping environment. You will use CCTV and loss prevention tools to detect theft and work with Store Management and Loss Prevention to address issues.

The role requires excellent English, physical stamina to stand, lift, and move merchandise, and the ability to work with customers in a respectful, helpful manner. Regular attendance and proper shift schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Travel to various store locations if applicable.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow all time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention tools to identify and minimize loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend Customers, Associates, and Vendors for theft professionally.
• Represent the Company in criminal actions as a result of apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations when assigned.
• Report vulnerabilities and recommendations to Store Management and LP Specialist.
• Maintain security standards and awareness of customer actions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
