Family Farm and Home is a family owned retailer based in Michigan with 71 stores across several states. We are seeking a Team Leader to learn our culture and help drive store performance through merchandising, inventory control and customer-focused service.

The role requires strong leadership, teamwork, and the ability to manage staff, schedules, and budgets while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment. Weekend/evening availability is expected.

Qualifications

• A successful team leader must demonstrate excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
• They will need to have good oral/written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, vendors and associates.
• A team leader needs to be team-oriented, have strong management and organizational skills, and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
• Assist store manager in promoting an aggressive sales culture with superior customer service.
• Maintains professionalism and positive store morale.
• Responsible for assisting the store manager in the execution and performance of all store job responsibilities through associates and/or own actions.
• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with actual and potential customers.
• Establish relationships and support local community groups consistent with company values.
• Solicits customers to sign up for Family Farm and Home Programs, e.g. loyalty program, extended warranties, financing and item of the month.
• Responsible for managing and protecting all inventory and company assets in accordance with company policy.
• Verifies merchandise is received, stored and merchandised in all departments according to procedures.
• Protects team members and customers by complying with legal requirements and maintaining a safe store environment.
• Assists store manager in determining marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Assists in maintaining consistent operations by enforcing policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by store manager or company official.
