Job summary

Family Farm and Home in Michigan, a family-owned retailer with 71 stores across MI, IN, OH, MD and PA, is seeking a Store Team Leader to embody our culture and drive excellent customer service and sales.

You will assist the store manager in merchandising, inventory control, and cost management, supervise associates, and work to deliver outstanding value and a safe, friendly shopping experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral/written communication with customers and associates.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
• Assist store manager in promoting an aggressive sales culture with a focus on superior customer service.
• Maintains professionalism and positive store morale.
• Assist in execution and performance of store duties through associates and/or own actions.
• Schedule and assign employees; follow up on work results.
• Identify current and future customer requirements by engaging with customers.
• Establish relationships and support local community groups consistent with company values.
• Solicit customers to sign up for FFH programs (loyalty, warranties, financing).
• Protect inventory and assets; ensure compliance with policy and safety procedures.
• Ensure merchandise is received, stored and merchandised per procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment.
• Assist in determining marketing strategy changes by reviewing reports.
• Enforce policies to maintain consistent operations.
