Job summary

Famous Footwear is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Cape Coral, FL. You will lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence, coach and develop a team, and ensure we deliver an outstanding customer experience for families shopping our brand assortment.

You’ll drive sales, manage staffing, and stay current with trends while fostering a positive, inclusive store culture. If you love shoes, you’ll help customers feel the Famous Feeling every day.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive, fostering a culture of caring and camaraderie focused on customer relationships, operational excellence, and flawless delivery of both.
• Champion Talent Discovery: network with exceptional external talent and collaborate with the Store Manager to interview and hire individuals passionate about customer experiences.
• Ace Retail Operations & Support Staffing Levels: manage pricing, shipping, inventory, and store standards to keep products easily shoppable and support staffing decisions.
• Leverage Insights to Deliver Results: drive sales and apply insights to improve location performance.
• Be a Culture Builder: promote diversity and inclusivity and maintain a positive environment.
• Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand: step in for Store Manager, develop leadership and ensure compliance with programs.
