Carter’s Inc. in Olathe, KS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll greet customers, introduce baby essentials, and help families prepare for school and parenting moments.

You will lead a welcoming, inclusive team, coach staff on product features, and drive sales, service standards, and store performance while maintaining balance with personal commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation, etc.).
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to success and consistently model service standards and omnichannel experience.
• Analyze the business and drive KPIs with the team.
• Build customer loyalty through company programs, including credit.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and developing store staff.
• Recognize exceptional performance and address underperformance.
• Plan and report tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Support merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
