Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Newark, DE to lead daily store operations, coach team members, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will drive sales, manage staffing, and uphold Lids’ standards in merchandising and service.

The role emphasizes training, discipline, inventory control, and store performance, reporting to the Store Manager. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Mansioni

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow up.
• Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warning in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment, including helping them understand how their work supports company objectives and the success of the store and Lids overall.
• Responsible for scheduling and staffing the store including calling in associates to work in unexpected peaks when the Store Manager is not present.
• Lead, execute and assist Lids selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and address issues in the moment, including customer escalations, urgent requests, and resolve to “make it right” for customers.
• Adhere to current visual guidelines that include proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Company Dress Code Policy.
• Execute operations-focused company-level directives, promotions, and initiatives.
• Maintain store technology and equipment – MPOS, Lids Custom, etc. – by conducting daily audits.
• Maintain store facilities, supplies, and services by executing service requests and replenishing stock.
• Open and close the store as required following the procedures per the Operations P&P Manual.
• Follow policies to manage store inventory including receiving, transferring, price changes, and counts.
• Strategically organize the backroom to maximize efficiency and space.
