Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the team at our Norman, OK location.

You will assist with merchandise, schedules, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean, welcoming store that reflects company standards and ADA compliance.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and hands-on coaching to drive performance, guest satisfaction, and safe, efficient store execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
