Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help ensure a clean, secure store environment.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a part-time position in Bishop, CA, offering opportunities to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Maintain store areas and ensure company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe and presentable store environment.
