Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Suffolk, VA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor, while maintaining store standards.

The role requires strong communication and leadership abilities, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a track record of delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional customer interactions.
