Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates to maintain a safe and friendly shopping environment.

Role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the stamina for a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug store.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, stocked store and secure assets.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Other duties as assigned.
