Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development in Surprise, AZ. You’ll assist with daily store activities, supervisor duties, and training of Store Associates while ensuring a safe, friendly environment.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
Retail/store management experience preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise and record keeping.
Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
Help store manager supervise, train and develop store associates.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
