Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of West Virginia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will help supervise daily store functions, assist customers, manage merchandise flow, and support payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, positive environment for staff and shoppers. You will ensure cleanliness, organize stock, and implement corporate directives, while developing Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards and ensure store assets are protected.
