Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of West Virginia LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, enhance customer service, and develop the team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, welcoming store environment for customers and staff. This role requires leadership, communication, and a hands-on approach to operations.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proven customer service and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards and ensure safety guidelines.
• Assist in scheduling, payroll, and cash handling as applicable.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and adhere to policies.
