Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development at our location in S. Chicago Heights, IL. You will support opening/closing procedures, organize merchandise flow, and ensure store standards are met.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a high-energy team, and a commitment to safety and accuracy in payroll and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Must have store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Lifts up to 55 lbs and performs extensive walking, standing, bending and stair navigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets and adhere to safety policies.
• Help supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
