Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Paris, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and develop the store team.

You will assist with opening/closing procedures, merchandise flow, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. This is a part-time role with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and ensure policy compliance.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
