Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Kentucky to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and help with opening/closing procedures.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills, with an expectation to supervise and train Store Associates and maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store areas, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
