Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with leadership responsibilities in the absence of Store Manager. The role includes unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and assisting customers while maintaining a clean, efficient store environment.

You will help manage plan-o-grams, operate the cash register, and ensure adherence to company policies. Strong math and cash handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Experience operating IBM cash registers.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store's prescribed process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes per procedures.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate stock as needed.
• Restock returned merchandise and ensure shelves are full.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise.
