Job summary

XL Parts and The Parts House (TPH), a Marubeni Group company, is seeking a Store Stocker in Savannah, GA. You will receive, stock, and pick automotive parts, and operate the computer system to record movements.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and climb a small ladder. Typical schedule; Mon-Fri, 40 hours with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Basic computer skills to enter records and use warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Reads customer orders and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials from receiving areas to storage or designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares pallets or shelves for shipment.
• Marks materials with identifying information and opens boxes, crates, and containers.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

The Store Stocker is responsible for receiving and stocking Automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Reads customer’s order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• Attention to detail
• 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
• Good to above-average computer skills
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred
• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required. Employee also share the responsibility to perform routine housekeeping activities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning and changing trash can liner
