Job summary

XL Parts / The Parts House in Arlington, TX is seeking a Store Stocker to receive and stock automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, bend at the waist and knees, and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves.

You will read orders, move items from receiving to storage, sort and place materials on racks, assemble orders into pallets, mark and weigh items, and enter records into the computer. This full-time role offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Attention to detail.
• 0–3 years warehouse experience.
• Good to above-average computer skills.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred.
• Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week; overtime may be required.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Read and fulfill customer orders to move or gather items.
• Convey materials from receiving to storage or other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks by size, type, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders and place pallets for shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open containers.
• Record quantities received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items to ensure accuracy.
• Enter records into the computer.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Store Stocker is responsible for receiving and stocking Automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Reads customer’s order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• Attention to detail
• 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
• Good to above-average computer skills
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
