Job summary

Mud Bay Inc. is seeking store staff who are flexible, friendly, and focused on providing an outstanding experience to everyone who walks through our doors.

Competitive base pay starts at the entry point of the range, $21.32 per hour, with a pay range from $21.32 to $24.52 and opportunities for growth through annual increases and promotions.

This part-time role requires 23 hours per week, with shifts Tue–Sat, occasional opening/closing duties, and monthly team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys.
• Passion to learn about dogs, cats and small animals.

Responsibilities

• Provides a happy, educational, and fun experience for all who visit our stores
• Engages dog and cat owners in conversation and helps them find solutions for their animals
• Contributes to sales growth by offering holistic solutions for long-term health
• Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently
• Performs keyholder duties, including opening/closing the store and registers
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of the store area
• Maintains inventory, including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing
• Supports team learning and open communication
• Works a flexible schedule and may operate across multiple locations

Mud Bay’s Store Staff are the heart of Mud Bay. They are flexible, friendly, and focused on providing an outstanding experience to everyone who walks through our doors.

Competitive base pay: The target starting pay for this position will be at the entry point of the range, at $21.32.

The pay range of $21.32 to $24.52 per hour allows our employees room for growth through annual increases and promotion potential.

When you'd work: This is a part-time position, with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of 23 hours per week. Flexible availability is needed for Tuesday thru Saturday. Shifts will be a combination of opening and closing shifts. Team members are required to attend a once a month store meeting.

Required Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older
