Job summary

Mud Bay Beaverton Town Square is seeking a part-time Store Staff member to welcome dog and cat owners and help them find solutions for their pets. You will provide a friendly, educational experience and contribute to sales while upholding Mud Bay's standards.

Typical schedule is about 15 hours per week, primarily Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with shifts at neighboring Mud Bay locations as needed. You will learn about dogs, cats and small animals and perform POS transactions with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Best to be comfortable handling basic math and point-of-sale.
• High school diploma or equivalent requirement.

Description

Mud Bay’s Store Staff Members are the heart of Mud Bay. They are flexible, friendly, and focused on providing everyone who walks through our doors an outstanding experience.

Competitive base pay: The target starting pay for this position will be at the entry point of the range, at $21.32.

The pay range of $21.32 to $24.52 per hour allows our employees room for growth through annual increases and promotion potential.

When you'd work: This is a part-time position, with a Good Faith Estimate of 15 hours per week (60 hours per month). Availability is needed Thursday/Friday/Saturday for primarily closing shifts. This position will typically work 3 days a week. Shifts will vary, but can typically look like: Thursday 1:00a-7:45p, Friday 3:45p-7:45p, and Saturday 3:15p-7:15p. Candidate ne eds to be able to help at neighboring locations such as Greenway (Tigard), Garden Home, Timberland and Tanasbourne, and attend a once a month store meeting, typically on a Thursday evening.

• Contributes to sales growth by providing complete, holistic solutions that promote long-term health for dogs and cats
• Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing registers
• Makes decisions based on good judgment and Mud Bay's Mission and Values
• Enjoys learning and wants to learn continuously about dogs, cats, and small animals
• Contributes to a team that celebrates differences and works together in a fun environment
• Maintains cleanliness, organization and attractiveness of store's sales and support area
• Maintains inventory, including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing

• Is comfortable with retail scheduling, including a variety of shifts
• Is able to work in multiple locations in addition to their home store, preferably three

Required Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys
• Has a passion to continuously learn about dogs, cats and small animals
