Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure store environment and deter theft at store entrances. You will greet customers in a friendly manner, monitor activities, and partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortages while upholding company standards.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with a background in loss prevention or security training. A HS diploma is required and a license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provide visible command presence and greet customers at store entrances/exits.
• Coordinate with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives and minimize shortages.
• Mitigate theft indicators and communicate findings to Loss Prevention leadership.
• Train and educate associates on shortage reduction initiatives and safe checkout procedures.
