Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Boston is seeking a Receiving/Accounting/Distribution Team Member to verify products against POs, manage invoices, and close purchase orders while maintaining store standards. You’ll support vendors and teams, ensuring safety and accuracy in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates have 12+ months in retail distribution or receiving; strong communication skills; proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and IRMA; and a commitment to food safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures and policies.
• Working knowledge of WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, and standards.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Verify actual product against Purchase Orders and/or supplier paperwork.
• Confirm product integrity and check temperatures as needed.
• Process and file invoices; distribute invoice copies to teams.
• Close purchase orders in the store purchasing system; follow receiving standards.
• Support accounts payable with vendor communications; assist with inventory close.
