Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Receiving/Accounting Associate in Overland Park, KS. You will verify POs against supplier paperwork, ensure product integrity, and perform accounting tasks during inventory close to support store operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures, plus proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and IRMA. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures and policies.
• Working knowledge of WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, and standards.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Familiarity with computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and IRMA.

Responsibilities

• Verify actual product against Purchase Orders and/or supplier paperwork.
• Confirm product integrity and check product temperatures as needed.
• Stamps, initials, processes, and files invoices; distributes copies to teams.
• Accurately closes purchase orders in the proprietary store purchasing application.
• Adheres to and meets receiving standards as outlined in Store Process.
• Distributes paperwork to Store Leadership and regional office; follows up with vendors.
• Supports product Teams with accounting processes during inventory and financial period close.
