Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Phoenix is seeking a Receiving, Accounting and Distribution Associate to verify shipments against purchase orders, confirm product integrity, document invoices, and accurately close purchase orders in the store purchasing system, ensuring timely, error-free processing.

You will work with store leadership, vendors and teams to uphold store procedures, safety standards and quality goals, while using Word, Excel, Outlook and IRMA to communicate, track items, and support

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures and policies.
• Working knowledge and application of store quality goals, food handling, safety, and standards.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and IRMA.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with clear information delivery to team members, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Verify actual product against Purchase Orders and supplier paperwork.
• Confirm product integrity and check product temperatures as needed.
• Stamp, initials, process, and file invoices; distribute invoice copies.
• Close purchase orders in the store purchasing application.
• Adhere to store receiving standards and processes.
• Support accounts payable with vendor follow-ups.
• Assist product teams with accounting during inventory and period close.
• Distribute expense invoices to Store Leadership.
• Maintain baler, compactor and environmental areas; coordinate service.
• Arrive on time, be groomed, and participate in trainings and meetings.
