Job summary

Hermès US is seeking a motivated undergraduate to join the Generation H internship program in New York City. This in-person, five-month internship provides real-world experience under experienced mentors, with a structured learning series and cross-team exposure.

You will collaborate with Project Managers on coordination, submittals, schedules, and documentation while gaining insights into retail design and construction processes. Compensation is provided as hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Photoshop and 3D modeling is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
• Interest in retail design, materials, finishes, construction.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple Project Managers.
• Professionalism and discretion handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and administrative tasks.
• Organize and track project submittals, shop drawings, and related documentation.
• Assist Project Managers with shop drawing reviews and coordination of revisions as needed.
• Support the tracking and updating of project schedules, budgets, and related documentation.
• Maintain and organize project folders, shared server files, and digital records.
• Assist with uploading and maintaining project documentation on the Hermès project portal.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing the department’s materials and finishes library.
• Support the sourcing and research of materials, finishes, and design-related products.
• Assist with preparing project presentations, reports, and supporting materials.
