Job summary

Walgreens in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee store and pharmacy operations, drive sales growth, and deliver a distinctive customer and patient experience.

You will lead staffing, training, merchandising, and compliance, while analyzing performance data to optimize profitability. A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of retail management (or HS diploma with 5 years) is required, along with pharmacy licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience, or HS diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
• Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state law or pharmacy assistant in WA state, or licensed RPh as soon as possible given state requirements.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervises operation of the store and pharmacy, including opening/closing shifts, task delegation and scheduling team members.
• Analyzes financial and performance data; develops action plans to increase sales and control costs.
• Identifies sales opportunities and manages inventory through ordering and stock management.
• Demonstrates customer service excellence and trains team members.
• Ensures compliance with policies and employment laws.
• Hires, promotes and disciplines store team members.
