Job summary

Huck’s Market in Charleston, IL is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations, uphold company standards, and support the Store Manager. The role requires leadership, frontline customer service, and a willingness to promote into a store manager position when training completes.

You will supervise team coverage, manage cash handling and daily paperwork, promote Huck’s Bucks, and ensure safety and merchandising standards across the store.

Responsibilities

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service; adheres to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift hours and helps fill shifts as assigned
• Works manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week
• Performs tasks as assigned by Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with staff and management
• Follows all laws and company policy
• Maintains proper uniform and customer service
• Completes shift change reports and records hours accurately
• Records sales, over rings, refunds; handles daily deposits as directed
• Treats associates with dignity and respect; informs manager of personnel issues
• Ensures safe store environment and proper cash/merchandise handling
• Promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Maintains stocked shelves and displays; cleans and maintains equipment
• Keeps store appearance clean and up to standards
• Alerts management to maintenance issues and sanitation procedures
