Huck’s Market in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations, manage scheduling, and promote customer service excellence. You will step into management duties during training and for open store manager roles, with relocation negotiable for growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include adherence to policy, safety, merchandising, and daily bookkeeping tasks, along with promoting Huck’s Bucks and supporting staff development.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with prompt, courteous service and uphold Best In Class standards.
• Monitor shift hours and assist the Store Manager in scheduling and coverage.
• Work the Store Manager's days off and cover peak evening shifts as needed.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Store Manager and communicate with staff.
• Ensure adherence to laws and company policies and model proper conduct.
• Notify Store Manager of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies and issues.
• Maintain proper uniforming and prompt customer service at all times.
• Complete shift change reports and clock hours accurately.
• Record all sales, over rings, refunds, and perform daily deposits as directed.
• Treat associates with dignity and escalate personnel issues appropriately.
• Maintain store safety, security of cash/merchandise, and vendor check-ins.
• Keep coolers, shelves, and displays stocked; use correct pricing per policy.
• Ensure store appearance meets company standards; keep floors, windows, and restrooms clean.
• Maintain a clean and safe parking lot and report maintenance problems promptly.
• Promote Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and assist customers with sign-up and usage.
