Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in El Paso to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support opening/closing, merchandising, and ensuring policies are followed while leading and coaching store associates.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging store environment, managing daily tasks, and upholding high retail standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
