Job summary

Dollar Tree in Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, inventory records, and ensure cash handling and loss prevention standards are followed.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a hands-on, energetic approach to keep our store organized, clean, and welcoming for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store-management experience in retail, grocery or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Support customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures and displays for promotions and promotions accuracy.
• Assist with ordering, damaged merchandise, records and cash handling.
• Ensure store areas are clean, stocked and assets secured.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise staff.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment and follow policies.
