Job summary

Dollar Tree in New Bedford, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized on the sales floor and back stock areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; store management experience is preferred. You will participate in opening/closing, payroll, scheduling, loss prevention, and uphold company policies while maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and assist in ordering merchandise.
• Record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, receipts) and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
