Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Methuen, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes opening/closing procedures, merchandise handling, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, maintain clean and organized sales floor and stockroom, and ensure store compliance with company policies and safety guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
