Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to drive inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution while coaching teammates and supporting store performance.

You will lead the development of 30-60-90 day plans, manage schedules, and ensure accurate operations. The role emphasizes team building, coaching, and accountability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable product information and maintaining merchandising standards.
• Assist in developing 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities, manage budgets and staff plans, and act as Head Coach when leading the store.
• Communicate goals, assign workload, and optimize schedules to meet athlete traffic and payroll targets while driving operational initiatives.
• Build and lead a strong team, recruit, onboard, coach, and evaluate teammates, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures and hold teammates accountable for compliance.
