Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, and ensure shelves and stockrooms are well organized.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and teamwork, with focus on loss prevention, record-keeping, and creating a positive store experience for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store communications and records.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash deposits.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
