REI Co-op in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Sr. Operations Specialist to guide the store toward operational excellence. This versatile role acts as the store’s Swiss Army Knife, sharing knowledge, recommending solutions, and engaging with customers daily.

You support management, handle daily office duties, and live the REI culture while solving problems with a proactive mindset. The position emphasizes budgeting, HR processes, and safety/quality procedures, with a collaborative, customer-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or office environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills you can apply inside and outside the organization.
• Open to feedback and other viewpoints to support the business.

Responsibilities

• Able to work flexible hours (some evenings and weekends).
• Reviews and reconciles operational business expenses.
• Mentors and supports operations and sales staff as needs.
• Manages office supply inventory within assigned budget.
• Helps with hiring, HR documentation, maintains store files.
• Coordinates the Safety Committee, Product Quality issues, and Loss Prevention standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.
