Job summary

Ashley Stewart in New York, NY is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager to execute store operations, merchandising and supervision during shifts.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you lead Sales Associates, drive sales, coach staff, manage customer experience and maintain brand standards. The role requires 1–2 years of retail experience, a high school diploma, and strong communication and initiative with flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform retail math and use POS systems.
• High level of initiative and accountability.
• Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales to achieve and exceed financial plan.
• Assist Store Manager in evaluating the business and improving results.
• Assist in setting/monitoring store goals and managing expenses.
• Ensure all funds and merchandise are handled per policy.
• Maintain store operations and supervise Sales Associates.
• Serve as manager on duty when Store Manager is unavailable.
• Coordinate daily communications and Take 5 briefings.
• Execute merchandise displays and maintain brand standards.
