Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Richmond, KY. You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

This role requires strong communication and leadership abilities, the capacity to lift up to 55 lbs, and the flexibility to perform opening/closing duties. Part-time position with opportunities for growth within the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle payroll, scheduling, deposits and receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain store cleanliness: bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
