Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Recommend pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings on policies.
• Ensure proper staffing and opening/closing at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Manage ordering to meet in-stock targets; review weekly planning and cycle counts.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per processes.
• Present merchandise per established practices with correct pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory via damages, markdowns, and controls.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure equipment/tools are available to perform tasks.
• Follow SOPs and complete paperwork on time.
