Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and written skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotions and displays for seasonal products.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
