Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist in managing day-to-day activities, organize inventory from delivery to sales floor, and help supervise and train Store Associates to maintain a positive store environment.

You will work in a part-time role, handle opening/closing procedures, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
