Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop team members. You’ll assist with merchandising, scheduling, and adherence to corporate directives while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes supervisor responsibilities, stockroom and sales floor organization, and partnerships with the Store Manager to maintain a positive store environment and consistent operational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
