Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Director to lead operations across multiple South Detroit Market stores in Michigan. You will direct daily store activities, manage performance, and develop leaders while ensuring excellent customer service and store profitability.

The role requires evidence of strong leadership, strategic planning, and merchandising skills to drive sales and community engagement. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position across several Detroit-area locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Strong ability to lead diverse teams and develop talent.
• Proven track record in driving customer service and store profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations across food and general merchandise.
• Manage planograms, seasonal resets, endcaps and displays.
• Develop staffing plans and recruit to forecasted needs.
