Meijer Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Director for the North Detroit Market. The role drives overall store operations, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring profitable performance and a strong customer experience across multiple locations in the Detroit Metro area.

The ideal candidate will have a track record in retail leadership with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent while delivering results against store goals and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• A passion to lead those in span of care while providing industry leading service.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction related to store operations, processes, and conditions.
• Plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day store operations.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, store sales and profitability.
• Forecast staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies for optimal staffing.
• Ensure products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
