Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Leader to oversee multifaceted store operations across Louisville, KY. This role drives profitability, staff development, merchandising execution, and customer experience, while ensuring compliance and community engagement.

The position requires substantial leadership experience in retail, with a focus on service excellence, teamwork, and strategic planning to meet market needs and achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• A passion to lead those in span of care while providing industry leading service.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.
• A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising which leads to meeting the needs of our customers/community and gaining sales and market share.
• A strong business acumen.
• An innovative attitude to help Meijer set the industry standard.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members and vendors feel valued and supported.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Director in running the overall store operations.
• Lead performance management activities for leaders and team members; manage performance ratings and development.
• Attract and retain a team that supports Meijer culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Communicate daily with team; lead huddles and share financial performance and feedback.
• Drive open communication based on Meijer’s Care and Accountability.
• Ensure product freshness standards and compliant processes.
• Oversee store operations in absence of Store Director.
• Ensure food safety standards are met per Meijer and local authorities.
• Engage with communities to strengthen Meijer’s local presence.
• Deliver on KPIs: sales, shrink, labor, margin, profit, customer satisfaction, safety.
